Summary
- Services and stocks coin and bill operated vending machines.
- Maintains cleanliness of equipment.
- Maintains accurate service and inventory records.
Duties
- Services and stocks coin and bill operated product vending machines.
- Collects, secures, and transports funds removed from serviced vending machines to office.
- Operates motor vehicles to transport materials and equipment.
- Monitors shelf life and sales of products to minimize spoilage losses.
- Resolves customer issues concerning vending products and machine malfunctions.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintaining inventory in vending machines on pre-set route, including filling, rotating, transferring, merchandising, waste management, etc.
- Managing route schedule based on continued changes with machines sales.
- Route delivery of products to vending machines on customer premise.
- Inventory maintenance and cleaning of motor vehicle/route truck.
- Cleaning, servicing, and maintaining vending machine on pre-set route.
- Cleaning, organizing and maintaining of storage and warehouse as needed.
- Cleaning and organizing your vehicle.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries and post to records.
- Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of coin-operated vending machines.
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to secure and handle cash.
- Ability to drive motor vehicles.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
- Ability to make independent, routine procedural decisions.
- Ability to identify and resolve routine operational problems.
- Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures.
- Organization skills are a must.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented
Conditions of Employment
- Driver’s license is a requirement for this job
- Passing a comprehensive drug test is required
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- This position includes walking, standing, lifting, loading, and pushing/pulling cases up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Also includes pushing a hand truck, reaching, bending and squatting while delivering and merchandising product.
Compensation
- Starting wage – $16/hour during training
- $17/hour after training is completed with subsequent regular wage increases based on performance
